VivaVegie hosted a visit by Ken Midkiff, the author of the brand new book The Meat You Eat: How Corporate Farming Has Endangered America's Food Supply on November 18 (2004). He and VivaVegie president Pamela Rice were on hand at the SEAL/NYU Thanksgiving dinner on Washington Square West. The appearance gave Mr. Midkiff a chance to sell his book and to speak to people about his extraordinary experiences fighting in the trenches (with the Sierra Club) - in Missouri - against big hog factories.
