Our Penelo Pea Pod was donated to VivaVegie Society by costume maker Janet Bloor in 1997 and was a sensation for over 2 decades! Our lovable mascot never failed to get attention among crowds. Children of all ages instinctively loved to get their picture taken with her.  Meanwhile, VivaVegie outreach activists would make sure to get a copy of the pamphlet "101 Reasons Why I'm a Vegetarian" into their hands (or their mothers' hands).  It was a winning strategy that worked again and again, just countless times, in fact.
